Ingredients
  • 1 Bag/box of peppermint candies
  • 1 Cup Evaporated milk I like the Carnation
  • 4 Cups sugar
  • 2 Pints Whipping cream
  • dash Salt
  • 1 Tbls Vanilla
  • 6 Whole Eggs Beaten with a fork
  • Milk whole milk To be added last as the last part
  • 1 Bag Crushed ice
  • 1 Bag/box Rock salt
Instructions
  1. Take the Dasher out of the can

  2. In the ice cream maker can, add the The 1 cup evaporated milk, 4 cups of sugar, 2 pints whipping cream, a dash of salt, 1 tablespoon vanilla, and a six beaten eggs

  3. Stir together well until sugar is dissolved

  4. No take the whole milk and fill the can 2/3rds to 3/4ths of the way full.

  5. Put the dasher back, put the lid on and place it back in the bucket.

  6. Put the crushed ice in around the can, Go to just below the can Lid, you don’t want the ice and salt to get in through the lid.

  7. Now on top of the ice out 2 cups rock salt. Again don’t let it go above the bottom of the can lid, you don’t want it to sink through.

  8. Final step turn it on

  9. Keep an eye on it, when the ice is half way down fill it back up then add two more cups of rock salt.

  10. You know it’s done when the motor slows way down or if you see ice cream losing out of the top!

Recipe Notes
