I will just tell you right now! There is NO better way to have a Thanksgiving Turkey!!!! The meat is so moist and the flavor, well oh my heavens it’s just the best!!! In fact it’s so good we eat this ALL Year Long, we can’t get enough of it!

Smoked Turkey

This is the best way to have a Thanksgiving Turkey

  • Traeger Smoker (see out store for our recommendation)
  • Large bucket for Brining
  • Pellets (our favorite are the Traeger Hickory and Apple)


  • 1 whole Turkey (I highly recommend never using bigger then 12lbs if you need more meat do two instead of one big one)
  • 1 or 2 whole Apple
  • 1 whole Orange
  • lots Bacon Enought to braid over whole turkey
  • 1 lrg bag pellets ( you'll use them for everything you smoke) (our favorite are the Traeger Hickory and Apple)
  • Butter


  • The Night before in a bucket Brine it in water (1 cup sugar, 1 cup salt, 1/2 cup terragon leaves)
  • Cut up apples and oranges and stuff them into the turkey
  • Pour melted butter on top of turkey
  • Put braided bacon on the top of the turkey (leave on for the first 3 hours of the turkey being smoked, then take off for the remainder of the time so the top can brown)
  • Smoke at 225 degrees at a half hour per pound,

That's it easy peasy!
